Observership Programme in Minimal Access General Surgery

The Observership Programme in Minimal Access General Surgery at SHIMIST Sonepat trains specialists who, at the end of completion of the Observership will be prepared to do surgical management of patients with complex surgical conditions.
In addition to routine minimal access laparoscopic procedure, a resident fellow can participate in the education and learning in the various workshop and short-duration training programs frequently organized in the SHIMIST. Special care is taken to make the Observership candidates proficient in endosuturing.
We have a dedicated program to update your knowledge regarding the latest modalities for laparoscopic procedures like Cholecystectomy, Appendectomy, Hernia repair, Urological conditions, Palomos (varicocele), Pelvic Surgeries and Endo Urology, Colorectal procedures, Varicose veins, various other open and Minimal Access Surgeries including BARIATRIC surgeries.
We are fully equipped with advanced imaging equipment (RUBINA 4K 3D SYSTEM), lasers, various flexible /rigid scopes, VAAFT and MIPH. Our state of Art training center ensures that training can be maximized with the help of Simulators, Endotrainers, Wetlab, library, and 3D 4K ICG Systems along with regular lectures in auditoriums.

Eligibility Criteria

• The doctor should be an M.B.B.S, equivalent degree & specialization in Gen. Surgery (self attested)
• The doctor should have a valid medical registration in his/her state. (self-attested)
• Passport Copy with Visa
• 4 recent passport size photographs
• Citizenship card of your nationality (self-attested)
• MCI Registration

The courses typically include theoretical sessions, “Hands-On” skill demonstration, and live demonstrations of endoscopic and laparoscopic surgeries at the institute. The institute has trained more than 4,200+ candidates worldwide till now.
